In the living, the so-called trunk lady is said to have spent many summers staying in room 10 of the Macomber for as far back as the 1930\u2019s. Room 10 is located on the first floor of the inn, which made things convenient for her since she always lugged around a large steamer trunk containing enough clothes for the entire summer. She passed away some time in the 70\u2019s but, apparently, that hasn\u2019t stopped her from coming back time and time again to her favorite vacation spot.
